Also, there's a naked blue guy who metaphorically represents "the bomb" and exists outside of time and space, and for some reason he's hanging out with the American government. I guess that doesn't make a lot of sense, but he looks neat, and can generate his own clothes. I wish I could generate my own clothes.
The host at a fancy restaurant would be like, "I'm sorry sir, but we require you to wear a jacket, allow me to clothe you in one of our own house jack-" and then he'd freeze, slack-jawed, because I'd suddenly be wearing a perfectly reconstructed Hugo Boss tuxedo, and then I'd say, "Sorry, sir, but I prefer to dress myself." Then everyone in the restaurant begins laughing, except for the host, who is hanging his head in shame as he turns in his name tag.
The Mountain Goats made a new video. They're a lyric-driven band who I like a lot. This song isn't bad, but the lyrics seem a little more generic than a lot of their other stuff. Either way, the video is neat.

Hey! I'm a huge Alan Moore fan and I can't wait for Watchmen either. It's not just that he's writing the Cold War mystery, but he is able to infuse critiques about the comic industry as well.
I always wonder what the book would have been like if DC had let more "ruin" the Charlton characters like Blue Beetle.
But of course, Moore is kicking himself for writing this book. He single-handedly saved and damn the comic industry by changing the escapist fun into ultra-violence Liefieldist seriousness that we are still shaking off today.
random comment that has little to do with your post and more to do with your profile...
I love the Dresden Files!
! I don't want to be mean and censor you or anything, but could you please not give any spoilers about Watchmen? Not that your post was that spoiler-heavy, but just something to consider in the future... Unfortunately I haven't read any Moore yet, though I've heard he is supposed to be good, and I haven't watched any movies based on his comics either.
In regards to the clothes generating thing, that reminds me of X-Men, since I remember in some comics Jean Grey could rearrange the particles of her clothes to form new ones or something. That's cool but scary power...
Sorry! We find out all this stuff in the first chapter, but I wasn't thinking about spoilers so thanks for drawing my attention to it. I'll be more careful.
The Flash is another hero that can generate his own clothes. It's because of his superspeed. Flash makes clothes out of gofast.
